Shmohawk's Weblog

About Shmohawk

Shmohawk is a handle that I created years ago as a distinctive online identity. Over the years, it’s become a persona in blogging to capture (I hope) an intelligent and sometimes combative nature. As a former daily journalist, Shmohawk allows me to express ideas and discuss topics in ways that might otherwise be considered verboten or out of line for a freelance journalist, writer and aspiring author.

Very nice blog! Good writing and perspective, I have subscribed, and placed a link on my own blog. I look forward to reading.

Thanks. It always surprises (and pleases) me when someone says something nice about the blog. I hope you don’t mind if I cross-link yours.

Canadians tend to give an”educated” respect to First Nations at official ceremonies. The rest of the time they are regarded as a nuisance.
Most of us grew up with the education that Indians are dirty and will steal your silver and they drink alot.
How many First Nations have in the House of Commons. ?
I guess there is a thought that maybe they should have their own government, apart from the rest of Canada.

I rarely look at this page for comments, which explains why I haven’t replied to dirk or oemmissions.

Thanks, dirk, for the link to the Frontier Centre. Talk about parasites the living off the avails of the so-called “Indian industry.”

And thanks for dropping by, oemmissions.
