About Shmohawk

Shmohawk is my personal online identity, a nom-de-plume. A Yiddish dictionary describes a “shmohawk” as a trouble-maker or a male appendage. Take your pick. Someday, I hope to grow up to be a real shmohawk or writer. Whatever comes first.

  1. Thanks. It always surprises (and pleases) me when someone says something nice about the blog. I hope you don’t mind if I cross-link yours.

  2. Canadians tend to give an”educated” respect to First Nations at official ceremonies. The rest of the time they are regarded as a nuisance.
Most of us grew up with the education that Indians are dirty and will steal your silver and they drink alot.
How many First Nations have in the House of Commons. ?
I guess there is a thought that maybe they should have their own government, apart from the rest of Canada.

  3. I rarely look at this page for comments, which explains why I haven’t replied to dirk or oemmissions.

Thanks, dirk, for the link to the Frontier Centre. Talk about parasites the living off the avails of the so-called “Indian industry.”

And thanks for dropping by, oemmissions.

  4. OMG! Jari, I just haven’t been very active on this blog. Instead concentrating on other ways to make trouble. It’s a good thing I haven’t given the blog up completely or I’d have missed your comment. Am on Kanehsatake Territory for the next while. How can we exchange contact info — not here though. Too public. Am on FB and not ideal but we can message to trade info. Also on SKYPE. You can leave trail of bread crumbds there too.
